Allison Overpeck (born 1997 in Waco, Texas) is a multidisciplinary installation artist whose work explores themes of spirituality, religion, devotion, mystery, and materiality. After graduating from Baylor University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in painting, she established a studio practice in the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Boone, North Carolina. In 2021, she relocated to Portland, Maine, to study at the Maine College of Art & Design and graduated in 2023 with her Master of Fine Arts degree. Some of her pastimes outside of the studio include scavenging the beaches for sea glass, reading about medieval nuns, rewatching television shows she’s already seen, and creating progressively unhinged music playlists for her drives. She currently lives in Boone with her five full-grown plants and propagating clippings.
